A free public forum on how artificial intelligence is reshaping employment, caregiving, and family life — and what communities can do to protect themselves.
About This Forum
Artificial intelligence is no longer a distant technology — it is already shaping how people find work, how they are managed on the job, how they care for children and aging parents, and how families navigate economic uncertainty. Yet most public conversations about AI focus on the technology itself rather than on the people most affected by it.
This community forum, hosted by the Digital Dignity Institute at Aflora in Tulum, Mexico, is designed to change that. Set within Aflora's remarkable jungle community — a haven for nomads and creatives on the Quintana Roo coast — we are bringing together workers, researchers, and advocates for an honest conversation about what AI is doing to employment and family life, and what individuals, communities, and policymakers can do about it.
Programme
The afternoon will include short presentations from DDI researchers and practitioners, followed by facilitated small-group discussions and an open Q&A. The format is designed to be accessible to everyone — no technical background required.
